Pardon our dust as we grow to meet your needs! Construction has begun!
- Due to construction we will not be selling plants from Glacial Ridge. They can be found at Linden Hills, Lakewinds and the Minneapolis Farmer’s Market on Saturday mornings. Also, Eastside Co-op will be hosting their annual plant sale Saturday, May 10 and Sunday, May 11 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. For co-op locations visit http://twincitiesfood.coop/locations/.
- We are working around the clock on our expansion project. After hours construction helps us minimize shopping interference. We are not open earlier than 8 a.m. despite all the early morning activity you may see. Our drive-thru window opens at 6:30 a.m. for your coffee convenience.
- We are enhancing service on the floor to keep your shopping experience friendly, convenient and positive.
- Our new walls are going up before our eyes and our old wall will be coming down within the next few weeks. Our entry way will look different.
- Our patio is now closed. Our store is OPEN normal hours! Drive-thru remains open, too.
- We are open Memorial Day, May 26!
- Construction is expected to last until early September. Then we will celebrate!
- Please contact us with your questions or concerns at info@valleynaturalfoods.com. We are here to serve you!
- As we grow we will be evaluating staffing needs. Please download a copy of our application at http://www.valleynaturalfoods.com/employment.shtml if you are interested in openings.
Valley Natural Foods has been providing healthy choices since 1977. One of those choices is how to bag your groceries. Paper? Plastic? Reusable? Cloth?
We have always felt that cloth bags are best for the environment. We also carry a variety of reusable bags from inexpensive non-woven polypropylene to mesh to organic domestic cotton. We also applaud creative shoppers who have made their own recycled cloth bags.
Yet, we also understand that busy schedules, family and work demands can make us forgetful. Our best intentions often get left at home and we arrive at the co-op with none of our reusable bags. We make paper and plastic available. Our National Co-op Grocers Association will be supplying us with inexpensive non-woven polypropylene bags for your shopping convenience (and budget). They will arrive in May sometime.
The choice is up to you. To encourage the choice that reduces plastic waste and saves a few trees, we will continue to offer a green stamp for every reusable bag you use. Each green stamp is worth $.05. You can choose to donate the green stamp to our current local charity or you can save them up for a discount on your next shopping trip.
Currently, Green Stamp Donations benefit Thomas Lake Elementary School. Then July-September they will benefit the Friends of the Lakeville Environment. Consider donating your earned Green Stamps to these local groups.
