Due to an error on the ballot, only two open seats were listed as being up for election, rather than three. As a result, we will hold a special election to determine who fills the third seat. The ballot will be available online* starting Tuesday, Oct. 30, and voting will be open until Sunday, Nov. 18. Please take the time to cast your vote.
Valley Natural Foods 2018 Member-Owner Meeting took place on Thursday, Oct. 25, at the Minnesota Zoo. Nearly 120 member-owners were in attendance. Board President Mike Jensen and Board Vice President Mark Mosiniak talked about the changes that have taken place at Valley over the past year, in addition to what we can all look forward to in the future. Board Treasure Sarah Johansson reviewed the co-op’s financial performance, which shows Valley Natural Foods in a strong financial position headed into the final weeks of the expansion. Business Developer Ralph Hale presented a history of and details on the expansion project. CEO Nick Seeberger provided an overview of the work that has gone into getting Valley Natural Foods to this point and expressed his gratitude to everyone for their hard work and contributions.
*The allowance of electronic voting in our elections was one of the amendments approved by member-owners. Going forward, we will conduct elections electronically.
