Talk bulk-a-nomics with Kirsten every Friday from 12:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. at our demo kiosk. These are meals that make “cents” using inexpensive, healthy ingredients from Valley Natural Foods’ bulk department. Discover the variety of inexpensive meal options for your family! Each recipe includes a cost per serving to help guide you to saving more money on your grocery bill! Each recipe includes a cost per serving for those that need to watch their pocketbook. The Kindest Cut mobile veterinary service will be in Valley Natural Foods’ parking lot on:

Kindest Cut is a new mobile surgical unit that provides high-quality, low cost spay/neuter services for pets of low-income individuals & families (must qualify for the service through proof of participation in governmental assistance programs). Fees range from $40-$100, a fraction of the cost from standard veterinary practices that range from $100-$300. All Kindest Cut fees are significantly and generously subsidized by supporters of the Animal Humane Society.

Member-owners can participate in community outreach and areas supervised by the board of directors and earn discount rewards. Here are our volunteer opportunities:
Board of Directors
• Run in the annual election held in October
Strategic Planning Committee
• Sign up to serve on this committee that meets bi-monthly
• Help maintain our landscaping through our Beds & Breakfast program
• Assist with educational demonstrations at health fairs
• Assist with set up, registration and clean up at the Annual Meeting
• Deliver groceries to homebound customers
• Serve as a volunteer for the Community Action Council
• Serve as a volunteer for the MN Valley Humane Society
• Serve as a volunteer for the MN Valley YMCA
Discount is based on the number of hours accrued as a volunteer each quarter. Each hour of volunteer time equals 0.5%. For instance, 10 hours earns a 5% discount every time you shop. 20 hours ( the maximum covered in the program) earns 10% every time you shop.
