Feed My Starving Children Event
Valley Natural Foods is sponsoring a Feed My Starving Children event on Saturday, February 8, 2014 from 11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. at their Eagan location: 990 Lone Oak Road, Suite 136. The are 90 volunteer spots available to package fortified meal formulas that will be sent to feed starving, malnourished and hungry people in nearly 70 countries. This event is for Valley Natural Foods member-owners only. Every participating member-owner will receive an extra 5% off discount at Valley Natural Foods.
4th Annual Run for Hope 5K at Valley Natural Foods
Valley Natural Foods’ 4th annual Run for Hope 5K is May 3, 2014 starting at 8:00 a.m. The race begins and ends at our co-op. This year we have chosen a new beneficiary for the race: Early Childhood Family Services (ECFS) of District 196. 100 percent of the race’s proceeds will benefit this organization. Early bird registration is now open! Save by registering early! Registration is $23.25 until January 17, 2014. Register by March 31 to be guaranteed a race t-shirt. Race participants also receive lots of snacks and goodies.
ECFS provides quality learning opportunities and resources for young families, including Childhood Family Education, School Readiness, Community Preschool and Family School. ECFS’s mission is to preserve and enhance the social and economic well being of the communities of Public School District 196, Rosemount-Apple Valley-Eagan, through quality educational programs for young children and their families.
