Balsamic Ginger Country-Style Ribs

Change up your traditional BBQ ribs with this sauce using ingredients already in the refrigerator or pantry.

  • 1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees.
  • 2. Place sliced onion and 2 cups of water in the bottom of a roasting pan.
  • 3. Lay ribs on top of onions, cover with foil and bake for 2 ½ hours.
  • 4. Meanwhile place the remaining ingredients in a blender, puree until smooth and pour into a medium pot.
  • 5. Bring to a boil, reduce heat to low and let simmer, stirring occasionally for 45 minutes to 1 hour or until sauce is thick and reduced by half.
  • 6. Remove ribs from oven, turn heat up to 350 degrees and drain water from the pan.
  • 7. Using a pastry brush spread the thick balsamic ginger sauce over ribs and place back in the oven for an additional 30 minutes.
  • 8. Serve with remaining balsamic ginger sauce.
