Cheesy Buffalo Burgers

Ground buffalo might seem like it would taste different from regular ground beef, but in reality, it’s not much different in taste. However, with ground buffalo, you get twice as much iron and protein and almost half the amount of fat found in ground beef. These burgers give you an opportunity to try out the ground buffalo for yourself, go ahead, do a blind taste test. You might be surprised by the results.

  • 1. In a large bowl mix together the ground buffalo, egg, parsley, garlic, bread crumbs, salt, pepper and Worcestershire sauce until combined.
  • 2. Separate the meat into 8 small portions and flatten each portion into a 4-inch round patty.
  • 3. Place a slice of cheese in the center of four meat patties and cover each patty with the remaining 4-inch round patties.
  • 4. Seal all the edges to enclose the cheese in the center of the burger.
  • 5. Grill or pan fry burgers for 4-6 minutes per side until desired taste is reached.
