Farmer’s Salad

Any party with a “build your own salad” bar makes for happy guests. This salad is a perfect fit for just that type of party because there are a variety of ingredients for all kinds of palates and all you need to do is whip up the dressing a day or two ahead of time then set out all the ingredients for each person to build their salad as they’d like.

  • 1. In a large bowl whisk together the red wine vinegar, shallot, salt, pepper, honey and mustard, drizzle in the olive oil whisking until all ingredients are incorporated.
  • 2. Pour dressing into a mason jar and refrigerate until use.
  • 3. In a large bowl layer the lettuce, cheese, sliced eggs, quinoa, turkey, tomatoes, sunflower seeds and green onions.
  • 4. Shake the dressing in the mason jar, pour desired amount of dressing on the salad, toss to coat and serve.
