I spent the first 10 years of my professional career in the field of mental health/social services and criminal justice. eventually, I left that industry feeling burned out. I came into the retail industry upon the suggestion of my husband, who has worked in sales his entire career. I kicked off my retail career with Nordstrom as a sales associate and was promoted into management within six months.
While working at Nordstrom, I went on a yoga retreat in Costa Rica where I learned about a holistic health coach training program from a fellow retreat friend. I thought to myself, “well, that sounds right up my alley!” I researched the program when I got back to the States and, with the unwavering support of my husband, I left my job at Nordstrom to go back to school for a year.
I completed my program through the Institute for Integrative Nutrition in New York City this past summer and I am now a certified integrative nutrition health coach. I am also just a few months away from becoming a registered yoga teacher, which is a goal I have had for quite some time. I have had a passion for living a holistically healthy lifestyle my entire life, and after a tough year of searching for “the one,” I have finally found a way to meld my passion with my career here at Valley Natural Foods!
I share two beautiful stepdaughters with my husband and two rescue dogs that we spoil absolutely rotten! We have a cozy home in Richfield and are a nature loving family that spends as much time outdoors as possible. Music is always playing wherever we are, and there is usually something yummy cooking on the stove or grill whenever we are home.
