Valley Natural Foods Mission Statement

Valley Natural Foods Co-op works in partnership with the

South Metro community to support health and well-being through

education and expertise in local, sustainable food and wellness services.

Our mission is for a healthy community and we believe in supporting initiatives to educate and provide for its well-being.

Some initiatives include:

  • Partnering with our shoppers through the Register Round-up program. Shoppers have the option of rounding up their purchases to the nearest dollar. Proceeds benefit up to 12 local organizations on a rotating basis – with each recipient assigned a month to receive rounded-up contributions throughout the fiscal year. Organizations that submit an online application will be reviewed and possibly considered by our donation committee to become a Register Round-up recipient for the upcoming fiscal year.
  • Hosting an annual Celebrate Local Festival at the co-op to sample food, local farmers and vendors, and enjoy family activities.
  • Hosting community events like Community Dinners, Make-a-Monster Cookie Decorating, Blood Drives, and more!
  • Donating food to local food shelves.
  • Partnering with The Open Door Pantry’s Garden to Table Program. VNF’s Garden Plots are managed by The Open Door Staff, providing individuals and families who struggle with food insecurity, the necessary resources to grow their own healthy food supply.
  • Hosting classes to help educate on topics such as health and wellness, special diets and more!
