Brody’s 579 Acquisition

Dear Member-Owners and Shoppers:

We are pleased to announce our acquisition of Brody’s 579.

Valley’s Own Bakehouse, a part of the Valley Community Food Co-op Family of Businesses, has manufactured all of Brody’s 579 ready-to-eat muffins and dry mixes in our certified gluten-free production facility for the last three years. We are excited to continue to build the Brody’s 579 brand using high-quality ingredients and creating the products in our from-scratch kitchen.

At this time, there will be no product changes and both the Valley’s Own Bakehouse and Brody’s 579 brands will continue to operate as separate entities.  Customers can expect the same quality from Brody’s 579 that they have experienced in the past, and company founder Kathy Schwartz will stay on and continue to partner with Valley’s Own Bakehouse during the transition process.

Moving forward, e-commerce and marketing will be managed by the Information Technology and Marketing Teams at Valley Natural Foods.

We are thrilled to share this exciting development and look forward to communicating more details with you in the future. Product will appear on our shelves in the coming weeks.
