Producer Spotlight: The Honey Pot Company

A Company Founded From a Problem

Not all products are created equally. Sometimes corners are cut or chemicals are added to extend shelf-life or counter lower-grade ingredients or materials.

Valley Natural Foods is proud to carry grocery and wellness items that do neither. The Honey Pot Company is just one of our many vendors that put its customers’ health and well-being first.

Beatrice Dixon, founder and CEO of the Honey Pot Co, was simply a woman looking for a solution before she was an entrepreneur.

“The whole reason I started the Honey Pot Co was because I was suffering from bacterial vaginosis for months and couldn’t get relief,” she explains.
“One night, an ancestor visited me in a dream and gifted me with a vision to heal myself. With her help, I created the Honey Pot Co to solve for what other brands wouldn’t, using the power of herbs.”

And heal she has.

Three years later, Dixon went on to found the Honey Pot in 2014 and create an entire line of menstrual and cleansing products “made by humans with vaginas for humans with vaginas.”

She created the world’s first complete feminine care system that cleanses, protects, and balances your vagina. Honey Pot products are 100% natural and powered by herbs.

Clean, Clean, Clean!

You’ll find zero chemicals, toxins, artificial fragrances, or anything synthetic in any of their products. Plus, every product has been clinically-tested by people with vaginas and are gynecologist-approved. Even better, the Honey Pot’s products – which include a full-line of sanitary pads, tampons and menstruation cups, and all-natural washes and wipes – are all biodegradable and cruelty-free!

Dixon, who was recently included in The Root’s Top 100 Most influential African-Americans in 2020, has made it Honey Pot’s mission to serve an under-served community when it comes to menstrual hygiene – those who are homeless, low-income, or living in poverty. Honey Pot has partnered with #HappyPeriod, a southern California-based non-profit working spread awareness on menstrual health to eliminate stigmas that surround menstruation and provide options that are good for the bodies and wallets of people with periods – and the environment. For each #HappyPeriod enamel pin purchased through Honey Pot’s website, Honey Pot donates feminine care products to those in need, proudly proclaiming, “Together, we can give back dignity to our most vulnerable sisters.”
