Next Thursday, August 10 is National S’mores Day, and to celebrate we will be sampling s’mores at the kiosk from 11am – 1pm! A S’more is the perfect combination of a toasted marshmallow that is squished between two crispy graham crackers topped with chocolate squares. Who can resist these warm, gooey, and crunchy messes? S’mores Origin Although the origin is unknown, the first documented “some more” recipe can be found in the publication of “Tramping and Trailing with the Girl Scouts” from 1927. They were named “some more” because you could never really eat just one.  It wasn’t until 1971 where the name was shortened to S’more and the rest is history! Today, S’mores can be considered a seasonal staple during the warm summer months when campfires can be found in just about everyone’s backyard. Usually campfire conversation leads to discussing the perfect way

From Humble Beginnings In 1988 a group of Midwest family farmers from Coulee came together to save American family farms. These farmers were fed up with being told to “get big, or get out!” so they came together to form the Coulee Region Organic Produce Pool or the CROPP Cooperative. They started by selling organic vegetables and after 29 years in the industry have added organic dairy, soy and egg products. Today they are 1,800 family farms strong and continue to add organic egg, meat, soy, produce, and livestock feed producers.  They like to keep things honest and simple and that’s why all their products are all certified organic and non-GMO. Their dairy products contain no added hormones, antibiotics or toxic pesticides. Commitment to Farming Organic and Sustainability Organic Valley’s commitment goes beyond making sure all their products are organic, they helped write

Since 2008 Better Life has been developing and sharing their natural cleaning products. The inspiration started one afternoon when two lifelong friends watched as their children crawled across freshly cleaned floors. They began to express concern about the safety of their children and whether or not they were picking up potentially dangerous residue caused by traditional cleaning products. After 6 months of preparation and a solid line of products they took a giant risk and pitched their business idea on the show “Shark Tank”. Like any pitch on the show they were greeted with a lot of criticism at first, but then one of the judges suggested that since their products were so safe they should spray it in their mouths to
